Route 9 is the live story expansion. Llama Train Studio announced it live on October 30, 2026. The Roblox experience tells you to enter through the Cheshma Town train station. The same description calls Route 9 the largest map yet and names three systems to use there: Field Capture, expeditions, and raids.
Daily Missions were announced on October 29, 2026 as part of the same update. Treat them as live with Route 9, not as a separate future feature.
Turn on Field Disc Mode
Field Capture lets you throw a disc at a wild Loomian in the overworld instead of starting a battle for every catch. The official demonstration and the in-game prompt describe this loop:
- Select a disc from the menu at the bottom of the screen. Disc slots also have keyboard shortcuts, and you can drag discs onto the hotbar.
- You enter a capture stance. While you aim, the Loomian shows the capture chance for the disc you are holding, its level, and its gender. An undiscovered species can show a question mark for the name.
- Throw. A miss comes back to you. A disc is used when it hits and the Loomian breaks out.
- A successful field capture goes to Recent Captures. If you want new captures in the party whenever there is room, leave that option on. Collectors who do not want a full party should turn it off so everything stays in Recent Captures.
Battle catching still matters outside this mode. Field Capture is an additional way to catch, introduced for this map. It does not replace discs, typing, or a Loomian that can safely weaken a target when you do enter battle.
What to do on the first visit
- Enter from Cheshma Town's train station once your save can take that train.
- Put at least two disc types on the hotbar before you leave the station area. The on-screen chance changes with the disc.
- Capture for the dex first. The demonstration frames early Route 9 captures as research, not as an instant battle team.
- Open expeditions and raids with other players when you want the rare prizes the experience description mentions. Launch-week videos name specific raid bosses, but move sets and typings in those videos were still being corrected in comments. Fight what the raid UI shows rather than a day-one chart.
- Check Daily Missions on each login. They are a reason to come back, not a substitute for story progress.
Species lists from launch week
Videos posted on October 31, 2026 tour dozens of new Loomians, including areas players call the Lowlands and the Great Charrabu Tree. Those tours are useful as a checklist, and they are not a finished dex. One creator's pinned comment corrected a Noctulite evolution note within hours: night at Flurry Field around level 32, not a cold-weather condition. If a video and the Loomipedia disagree, trust the Loomipedia entry on your save.
August 2026 roadmap notes had listed Field Capture, Frostveil, Hearthpine, a fifth Battle Theatre, and overworld gleamings as announced but unshipped. The October 30 launch shipped Field Capture and the Route 9 map. That post did not name a fifth Battle Theatre. Do not assume Frostveil, Hearthpine, or a new theatre arrived just because Route 9 did.
Gleaming and corrupt forms on the new map
An official teaser is titled for field gleaming and corrupted Loomians, so both presentations exist in the Route 9 feature set. Older wild rates (about 1 in 4096 for Alpha, about 1 in 20480 for Gamma, about 1 in 1024 for a corrupt battle) come from guides written before this update. Use them as a baseline for classic grass encounters, then count your own Route 9 session before you spend a long boost. Corrupt forms in battle have long been defeat-only Shard encounters rather than disc catches. Confirm whether a specific overworld corrupt can be captured by reading the prompt on that Loomian.
