Gleaming and corrupt hunts

Alpha gleamings are documented near 1 in 4096 and Gamma near 1 in 20480. Gleaming does not improve stats, and Route 9 field rates may differ.

A gleaming is an alternate palette. Alpha and Gamma are the two tiers players hunt. Gleaming does not raise base stats, Unique Points, or the chance of a Secret Ability. A gleaming you want to battle still needs Rally Ranch and Training Points.

Rates to plan around

Guides written before Route 9 document these wild baselines:

Target Commonly documented rate With the usual charm note
Alpha gleaming about 1 in 4096 Gleaming Charm is documented as doubling gleaming rates
Gamma gleaming about 1 in 20480 Same charm rule, still far rarer than Alpha
Corrupt battle encounter about 1 in 1024 Corrupt Encounters boost is documented near 1 in 256

A full Gleaming Encounters boost stacked with the charm is widely described as pulling an Alpha toward roughly 1 in 128. Pity is also described during boosted wild encounters: failed rolls improve the next ones inside that boost. Exact pity steps were not published as a fixed table, so treat pity as a reason to stay for the whole boost, not as a timer you can read.

Route 9 added field gleaming and a corrupted overworld presentation. Those baselines may not be the Field Disc Mode rate. If you are hunting on Route 9, replace the calculator default with a rate you have counted, or with the rate shown by a current in-game boost description.

How to spend a boost

  1. Pick a patch where the species you want is most of the encounters. A mixed table spends rolls on Loomians you will release.
  2. Stand near a Loomian Center, or know the Geo Hop point that returns you there. A long loop without healing ends the chain.
  3. Equip Gleaming Charm if you own it, then turn on the gleaming boost. Do not activate the boost while you are still shopping.
  4. Bring a catcher that knows Spare or another controlled chip. Knocking out the gleaming wastes the roll.
  5. On Route 9, Field Disc Mode can replace the battle. Read the chance above the Loomian before you spend a better disc.
  6. Stop when the boost ends. A half-used window is the expensive way to hunt.

Corrupt boosts and gleaming boosts are documented as separate. Running both goals in one session splits the encounters. Corrupt battle forms are not caught with discs. You defeat them for Shards. Do not throw your gleaming disc stack at a corrupt you cannot bank.

Gamma gleamings are documented as unable to be rallied. If you need a Gamma with specific Unique Points, the rally loop will not fix it. Alpha gleamings can be built after the catch.

What not to do

Do not assume a gleaming from an old event still spawns. Do not buy a boost until you can play for its full duration. Do not release a Gamma because the Personality looks ordinary until you know whether that species can be hunted again.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Route 9 live in Loomian Legacy?

Yes. Llama Train Studio posted on October 30, 2026 that the Route 9 update was live, and the Roblox experience description tells you to enter Route 9 through the Cheshma Town train station. Field Capture, expeditions, raids, and Daily Missions shipped with that update.

Are there working Loomian Legacy codes?

The LoomiWatch Store has a Codes tab, so redemption exists. This archive does not list a code as active. Anniversary2026, the last code with an official end time found here, ended August 4, 2026 at 4 PM CDT. Later aggregator pages still disagree with each other.

Which beginner Loomian should I choose?

Any of the seven beginner lines can clear the story. The partner you choose at the Loomian Laboratory in Mitis Town cannot be traded away. Rallied or purchased copies of beginner Loomians can. Pick a typing you like, then catch a partner that covers it before the first two Battle Theatres.

Where do I heal my Loomians?

Use a Loomian Center. The first one is in Mitis Town, and the attendant heals the whole party. A fainted Loomian cannot battle until it is revived at a center or with a revival item.
